BACKGROUND OF THE ORGANIZATION
The African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) was created, inter alia,
to promote the development of Intellectual Property (IP) laws appropriate to the needs of
its members, establish common services and training schemes, and assist its members in
the acquisition and advancement of technology and the evolving of common views on IP
matters. Membership of the Organization is open to all Member States of the African
Union (AU). The present members of the Organization are Botswana, Cape Verde,
Kingdom of Eswatini, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Kingdom of Lesotho, Liberia,
Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe,
Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania,
Zambia, and Zimbabwe. (Total: 22 States)
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Applications are invited from suitable candidates who are nationals of ARIPO Member
States to be considered for the following professional-level posts tenable at the ARIPO
Headquarters in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Director Intellectual Property, Grade D1
Director Finance, Grade D1
Director Legal Affairs & International Cooperation, Grade D1
Director Business Transformation & Development, Grade D1
Executive Assistant to the Director General, Grade L3
Head Communications, Grade L3
COMPENSATION
Competitive packages including post adjustment, housing, dependency, contributory
medical aid, gratuity, and educational allowances, etc., will be offered to the successful
candidates.
