AG Meets with ECOWAS Commission President

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice Hon. Dawda A. Jallow on the 31st, Oct, 2022, held talks with the President of ECOWAS Commission, H.E Dr. Omar Touray, to explore the joint establishment of an internationalised court for the prosecution of human rights violations by and under former President Jammeh.

The talks proved fruitful with both sides agreeing that such a cooperation is consistent with the Revised Treaty of the Community.

Furthermore, both sides agreed, to promptly set to work in examining the technical aspects of this collaboration as well as in other areas of the Transitional Justice process.
